Rome!

Dang it! I wrote a beautiful account of my trip here, added pictures, and then lost my signal. Now I only have time and battery enough to say, I am here in Rome safe and happy. I ate dinner last night on a garden balcony across from the Coleseum. Here are a couple of pictures to tide you over until I write again. grrrrrrrrr

There is my free espresso in the Paris airport, dinner view, and me in Rome. I have stories to share but have to go catch the cab to the boat.

Love to all!

Getting Ready to say goodbye

I have 2 days before I leave for 2 weeks in Italy and I am nearly packed. I actually have extra room in both of my bags now the trick will be to not fill them up before I come home. Haha, fat chance. I'll be interpreting a 2 week cruise in Italy and Croatia for a deaf-blind individual who is traveling with a group of about 20 deaf folks. I have wanted to see Italy for many years. I feel so fortunate to have this opportunity. The cruise lines is flying me to Rome and back. I also get to interpret 10 different excursions at 7 different ports. WOW!

As much as I'd like to think that my pets will miss me, with their "Uncle Lance" here to take care of them, I doubt they'll notice. Kevin is off at school so I guess I'm good to go.

As some of you know, I love lists! I have been working on so many lists: a list of what to pack, a list of what I need to get done before I leave (I can almost mark off "set up blog"), a list of things for Lance to remember when taking care of my house and pets, a list of what I still need to buy, a list of important numbers to stash in my luggage. Lists are my friends!

I'm hoping that using this blog will make it easier and faster to send updates, pictures and fun stories from my trip. The internet service on the ship is expensive so at least this way I can plan ahead, sign on, and let fly. I have no idea how often I will post but check in once in a while and feel free to comment.

I'm going to Italy baby!!
